Heirloom Hourglass - The Adirondack Wedding
This Heirloom Hourglass is inspired by The Adirondark Park of Upstae New
York, home to six million acres of breathtaking mountains, serene lakes, and unspoiled forest. White birch is plentiful here, and the bark is a signature material of the traditional
Adirondack style that adorns the area’s rustic homes, great camps, resorts, boat houses,
and their furnishings. To create The Adirondack Wedding, we select
unpeeled white birch pillars, and match them with finely finished black walnut bases using classic
mortise and tenon joinery. A solid pewter adirondack chair closure adorns each side, and allows you to easily open and close
your hourglass. The Adirondack Wedding is a lovely addition
to your rustic décor, and is perfect for displaying in your home, lodge, or camp. Memories of a lifetime are made on
the summits, trails, and lakesides of places like those found in the Adirondacks. Capture
these moments, preserve the memories, and create an heirloom by filling your Heirloom Hourglass with sands or soils from a
place that holds symbolic meaning to you. All Heirloom Hourglasses come with a collection kit including an individually numbered
book for recording the story of your Adirondack Wedding Heirloom Hourglass
and the contents you place within it. This
unique sand ceremony hourglass is the perfect addition to a wedding unity sand ceremony, family unity ceremony, or vow
renewal ceremony. It is the perfect alternative to the unity candle for an outdoor wedding sand ceremony, destination beach
wedding sand ceremony, or an inside wedding where a candle cannot be lit. It also makes the perfect heartfelt gift
for any occasion.
