Each base is a solid slab of real rose quartz that is a full one-half inches thick by five and one half inches around. This semi precious gemstone is carefully selected for the perfect pink hue, and it is polished to a shimmering finish. Maple rope shaped pillars and solid pewter heart shaped closures complete The Bahama Sands, making this hourglass perfect for any wedding ceremony, honeymoon keepsake, or anniversary vow renewal. The heart shaped pewter closure on one side and the two hearts become one closure on the opposite side allow you to easily open and close your Heirloom Hourglass from either side and fill it with real beach sands or colored sands whenever, wherever you wish.
